German Whistleblower Protection Act (WPA)

Schildmeyer attaches the greatest importance to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in its own conduct as well as its business decisions and actions.
Therefore, Schildmeyer offers all employees and external third parties the opportunity to report any violations of the law and grievances to Schildmeyer. Any potential misconduct or violations can be reported directly to Schildmeyer. All reports received will be examined immediately and treated as strictly confidential. Suspected cases will be investigated and violations will be followed up.

What is the German Whistleblower Protection Act?

The purpose of the German Whistleblower Protection Act (WPA) is to ensure that whistleblowers who report violations of laws, regulations, or internal guidelines to the best of their knowledge and in good faith are protected from retaliation. The law stipulates that companies must create appropriate mechanisms for reporting violations and ensure that whistleblowers can act on a confidential basis and without sanctions.

Protection of whistleblowers

According to the Whistleblower Protection Act, it is prohibited to discriminate against whistleblowers. This includes disciplinary measures, dismissals, or other negative effects on the whistleblower’s work situation. We are committed to protecting the identity of whistleblowers and ensuring that reports are treated confidentially. Only our whistleblowing officers have access to reports filed by you.

Our reporting unit: Contact

For this purpose, we have set up a reporting office that serves as a point of contact for reporting misconduct or irregularities. This reporting office is headed by Ann-Kathrin Squarra with Holger Scholz as her deputy and is there to answer your questions and receive reports.
Please send your reports to: hinweise@w-schildmeyer.de
or call Ann-Kathrin Squarra at: 05731 7600-13
